Custom invitation suites are best started 9 to 12 months before your wedding date to allow time for design, revisions, printing, and any special details. The process begins when you submit an inquiry. I’ll then send over a questionnaire to learn more about your celebration, design preferences, and the personal details you would love reflected in your suite. From there, we’ll start exploring the vision for your stationery suite, including your wedding style, the details that matter most to you, and the elements that will make your invitations feel personal and meaningful.
Custom invitation design typically begins 6–8 months before your wedding date, depending on your suite, print method, and overall timeline. During this stage, I’ll begin creating your invitation suite, including the layout, typography, color palette, wording, and any illustrated or personalized details included in your proposal.
Once your first proof is ready, we’ll move through revisions together so every detail feels refined, cohesive, and ready for print.
Once your suite is approved, everything moves into production. This typically happens 3–4 months before your wedding date, allowing time for printing, finishing, assembly, addressing, and mailing.
Production timing can range from 2–4 weeks depending on the materials, print method, and finishing details selected for your suite. Digital printing is typically faster, while letterpress, foil, handmade paper, envelope liners, and assembled details may require additional time.
Once printing is complete, your suite is ready for the final details. Depending on your project, this may include assembly, envelope addressing, postage, stuffing, sealing, and preparing each invitation for mailing.
Wedding invitations are typically mailed 8–10 weeks before the wedding date. If full assembly or mailing services are included in your proposal, I’ll help make sure each piece is carefully prepared before it makes its way to your guests.
